I painted this cinnamon teal back in 2006. I was inspired at the time I was trying to get some attention from the Ducks Unlimited local chapter. The previous year I had gotten the state artist award with “Dodgin' Pintails“. So I had high hopes of successfully winning again. I thought it would be cool to implement an old tractor in the background with similar colors as the teal. I really like that burnt orange, and burnt scarlet colors. The diversity of birds in the wild is overwhelming when one takes the time to find them.
