Standing tall in the Judith Basin County of Central Montana is a laccolith called Square Butte. This landmass is also one of my muses. Something about its unique shape and volcanic jagged structure offers the mind many a mystery. Coupled with the monolithic shapes of round bales plundering through the golden cut fields of hay. It makes for the perfect view of some of the remaining relics of the west. If you were there, you would smell the sweet smell of fresh-cut fields upon the big sky air.
