The Wind and the Waves
I did this commission over the course of a two years. I have to be honest, this project was a little intimidating. I don't do people subjects as often as I should but I felt that it would be good for me as I like a good challenge. The theme as well is one I can identify with. I think many of us can. I can attest that life often pitches me into uncertain waters and I find myself asking my creator if I can get a hand with things more often than not. The answer I receive is you can stay in the safety of what is familiar and continue to pail water. All the waters that worry you, or you can just trust in why you're in the storm to begin with, enjoy the ride, feel the sting of water with wind and own that you are in fact human. Broken but never defeated because you will always have the grace of the holy sprirt at your front, back and always and forever above. Ever watchful and omniscient!
